I was born February 27, 1929 at Cedar City, Utah. to Halley Barton Sherratt and Earl Kenneth Sherratt . We moved to Los Angeles, California in 1930. Where I was raised along with two wonderful sisters. After marriage in 1950, we moved to West Covina, California to raise 7 beautiful children. In 1975 I married Rita Polivka and moved to Redlands, California. My past hobbies and activities have been, Hunting, Fishing, Flying, Sailing, Skiing. My present activities are Golf and Painting Water Colors. My painting is primarily landscapes, and my favorite is seascapes. On location I will take pictures and do a pattern or value sketch. Bringing all of the resource material back to my studio. I will then create my painting. I am not always successful painting the scene that was originally in mind, but by trial and error I may arrive at one that I like. I have had many teachers and participated in numerous workshops on location. I have studied with Kolan Peterson, Tom Lynch, Tony Van Hasselt and Judy Wagner on location at Morro Bay, Cayucaus, Cambria, Mexico, New Hampshire, and Main.
